Team Molly is embarking on a Walk that will approximate the distance from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca to the family home in Prior Lake at 6:30 am Friday September 29th. The inspiration for this Walk is embodied in how Molly lived her life. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Molly embraced difficult objectives with great energy and enthusiasm. Whether the outcome was positive or negative, her efforts always included that ever present smile and sincere encouragement for those around her.
Waseca is where Molly was born and raised. Her parents cared deeply for the wellbeing of others in the community. Their public service activities are still positively impacting people to this day. Her brothers and sister have moved away, but still maintain close relationships with many in the area. Molly and Tim were married at Sacred Heart on June 1st, 1991. It was a splendid starting point in their married life. We cannot think of a more appropriate place to start the Our Molly Miles 2023 Walk.
Molly passed away at the family home in Prior Lake around 1:30 pm on October 12th, 2022. Later that afternoon a double rainbow appeared in the sky above the home. Upon going back into the house, Tim picked up Molly’s cell phone and took note of Molly’s screen saver photo. A double rainbow! The Walk will end where Molly started her journey to heaven.
The cause of Molly’s death was an aortic dissection. In other words, the aneurysm (a ballooning and weakened area in the artery) that formed in Molly’s aorta eventually tore apart with sudden and tragic results. Molly was unaware of the aneurysm. It was most likely present for many years. Unfortunately, the symptoms Molly experienced were not tied back to the aneurysm, but to other more common and less lethal ailments. The most important objective for the Our Molly Miles 2023 Walk is to bring awareness to aortic health. Team Molly is continually educating themselves with the issues associated with thoracic aortic disease. The money raised via this Walk will assist the John Ritter Foundation with genetic testing for families (see Weaver family video below). Our goal is to obtain individual, group, and/or corporate financial sponsorship for each of the approximate sixty-mile distance. With an ultimate goal of raising $6,000.00.
Our family is taking a similar powerful journey. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
Your contribution could help a family avoid a needless tragedy.
Molly is simply the best person I've ever known. I consider myself to be the most fortunate person in the world to have met and marry her.
"We wanted to pick Mile 1 as a celebration of Molly and Tim's wedding anniversary, but that day was not available. Therefore, we picked the 2nd because on the 2nd , we paid for all of the fun we had celebrating them on June 1st."
Lisa and Doug own the M1 Volleyball Club in Bloomington MN. Absolutely great people who brought joy into Molly's life. They dedicated the show court at their facility to Molly. Stop by to see the Our Molly banner and say hello to them.
Jeff is a great friend who you can always count on for support. He's an awesome father with two wonderful daughters. I vividly remember Molly laughing and enjoying herself immensely while out of Jeff's boat in the summer of 2022.
Bridget and Molly had a special connection. They didn't see each other often, but when they did it meant the world to each of them.
A group of close friends that includes Molly's sister Meghan. Hillsboro is a tight-knit community in North Dakota. Our family trips there have always been memorable. Including ringing in the new millennium.

Molly and I worked with Bob & Janet at Menards. We all attended a Twins game together. Our first date. Although Molly said she didn't consider it to be a date. Molly was a bridesmaid for Janet. Two wonderful people and friends.
Molly and I love Tony and Andrea. Tony is my brother. Always there for us. My parents couldn't have asked for two better daughter-in-laws. Both extremely caring mothers who enjoy life to the fullest.
Tim signed on to be Molly's financial advisor many years ago. It was one of Molly's better decisions. I consider Tim to be more friend than financial advisor. His support over the years and especially the past eleven months has been inspiring.
Molly and I hired Chris several years ago to put lights on our big pine tree during the Holidays. Chris and Molly quickly developed a special connection. Chris is truly a wonderful person
Renee and Rick are two of the nicest people Molly and I ever met. Our activities mostly involved athletic events involving our kids. We always smiled whenever we were around them.
We got to know Betsy while playing co-ed softball. Betsy and Molly immediately hit it off. They are both rays of sunshine to be around and respected business woman.
Dan and Kelly are amazing people and friends. Kelly and Molly never met, but I'm positive they would be great friends. They share energizing personalities and engaging smiles.
Julie and Molly attended college together. They ultimately ended up being related to each other. They had an incredible relationship. The world is a better place because of the type of people Julie and John are.
Molly was born on the 21st. Her relationship with her sister Meghan was one of the most important aspects in her life. I can say without hesitation, that Meghan and Chuck's support has been a lifeline for our family. I send songs to Meghan that speak to how I'm feeling. It's an important part in my healing process.
Molly and I vacationed with the Breen family at a resort called Brookside. Spending time with Mike, Echo, and their kids was always a blast. Mike was the best singer of all the Breen brothers.
Our families have known each other for almost all our years in Prior Lake. We've shared many sporting activities and wonderful meals together. Rhonda and Molly's relationship is truly special.
